No stranger to the industry, Mike DePaola has owned and operated The Home Theater Group in Green Brook, NJ since 1995. For Michael, owning a custom Audio/Visual company was inevitable. He grew up with his father installing home made in-wall speakers before anyone knew what they were. He would dedicate most of his free time to researching high end audio and attending concerts. While still a college student he would help friends and relatives choose quality audio systems. Two short years after graduating Seton Hall University with a degree in Accounting, he started The Home Theater Shop. Throughout the years he has developed an in-depth knowledge of audio and visual electronics and how people use them. He believes in developing lasting relationships with customers by designing home Audio/Video systems that are functional and intuitive to use. To this day, Michael is still enjoying making customers dreams a reality, treating each job individually, with the utmost concern to detail.

Earhogz is the result of instilling a passion within Mike's son, Nick DePaola. Much like his father, Nick also grew up being exposed to unique high-end audio experiences, having a father who owned an Audio/Visual company. Nick is a professional graphic designer and marketer, studying digital marketing at Johnson & Wales University. Combining this skillset with experience, he and his father used the foundation HTG has built over the last three decades to break out into the ever-expanding E-Commerce sector. Earhogz is not just an audio equipment supplier, but a passion project between father and son, and a platform to share with those who appreciate quality sound as much as they do.
