This second-generation Beam keeps everything that made its predecessor so successful and adds support for uncompressed, high-quality surround sound formats like Dolby Atmos for an even deeper, wider soundstage.
 
This sound bar's upgraded CPU is 40% faster than the original Beam's. This increased processing power enables two additional audio arrays for enhanced clarity and depth. It has the same number of speakers as the original Beam, but they can all act independently to create 3D sound effects. Its five built-in speakers steer the sound effects for a greater sense of accuracy and immersion. Track sounds as they move in three dimensions, from a helicopter hovering overhead to bullets zipping from one side of the room to the other. 
 
The Beam (Gen 2) is a part of the Sonos wireless multi-room ecosystem, which means you can group it with other Sonos speakers to stream music throughout your home. The Sonos app has an intuitive interface that makes it easy to play whatever you want, wherever you want . You can play the same song everywhere at once, or different music in each room.
